Colin Manning Pairs.
The Colin Manning Pairs was held at the Plough in Eynesbury and attracted 26 pairs of all levels of ability from lower league players and even included an international player and a pdc player to this annual event run by the Eynesbury & St Neots Darts League proving what a strong local league we have by attracting players of there level.
There were some great darts thrown on the evening with Steve Fryer of the Rafa (A) hitting two 180,s and Helen Styles of the Hyde Park hitting one.
Out of the 26 pairs that entered there could only be one winning team and this was decided in the final between Mick Stone & Steve Fryer from the Rafa (A) and Kelly Corcoran & Trevor Ellacott from the Woolpack (A).
The Rafa (A) and Bedfordshire County Duo Steve Fryer & Mick Stone started off there night with a win over Matt Couzins & Carly Jakins From the Hyde Park and then continued there road to the final by beating Plough (A) father and son combo Martin & Craig Thomas, Tony McElone & T. Bagley before facing and beating Roy Smith & Paul Smith from the Riverside Snooker Club to be in the final.
The Pair of Kelly Corcoran (Woolpack (A) and Bedfordshire County) & Trevor Ellacott (Woolpack (A), Wales and Bedfordshire) began with a win over Neil Smith & Lee Springett of the Plough before beating Matt Caste & Paul Caunt of the Rafa (B) then faceing A. Breed (Wait For The Wagon ) and Lionel Sams (Wait For The Wagon and P.D.C. Player) which they won to go into the final against the Rafa (A) Pair.
The final was best of 5 legs and proved to be a great game but this sadly was not reflected in the score line with the the Woolpacks pair Kelly Corcoran and Trevor Ellacott coming out on top winning the title 3-1.

Breaking news in division four is the royal oak have dropped out of the league so there fixture has now become a bye on the fixtures list.
Only two high finish,s and three 180s hit this week and these are listed below.

180,s
Gordon Hayden - George & Dragon (A), Keith Gamble - E.s.e.s.c., Matt Squire - Vine.
Elaine from the Wait for the wagon emailed me this week and wanted to say that there game against the vine in buckden was a real nail biter and going into the last game it was 4 - 4 and one leg each when Matt Squire from the vine hit a fantastic 180 which helped win the last leg and win the game for the vine.
she went on to write how well young 14 year old james from the vine played and he holds his place in the team well and she also said well done to the vine it was a great game and both teams did well to show that there is great darts being thrown in the fourth division and there was further evidence of this in the form of a 14 dart leg hit by the Wait For The Wagons Anthoney Reed.
another 14 dart finish was hit by Gerry Peters of the Old Sun (A) and finished that leg on the bullseye and in the next leg hit an 18 dart finish to win his singles game against the Woolpack (A).
speaking of bullsye finish,s Tony Bloomfield of the Old Sun (B) hit two bullseye finishs in his teams 5 - 4 defeat against the Wrestlers.

Amendment to Week Three News
It seems that people have been writting false 180,s and even a 170 finish on the results sheets so after a few phone calls and some detective work Matt cozens 170 finish and dave gambles 180 have been deleted from the site and the league records.
i have been informed that it was not matt and dave who falsly reported these scores but other members of the team who thought it would be funny to do so.
please do not do this on the results sheets as it takes away the personal achievment that comes from really hitting these scores and will only end in embarrasment for the people involved when they are found out, i for one wouldnt want to pick up a trophy for the highest finish when i knew i hadnt really hit it and would feel sorry for the person who had really earnt the right to win it.
this is a good fun league we play in and i would hate to think that people are abusing it by falsly reporting high finish,s and 180s which were never hit.
can i also remind you all that we still would like the game highlights sent into us each week so we can get the reports into the local papers so that all teams in every division gets a chance to be mentioned in the papers and im also looking into publishing them in darts world magazine and a few other ones as well as a few darts websites i am currently in talks with.
things that can be mentioned are maybe a players unbeaten run of games or a good leg of darts (for example if somebody does a 14 dart leg) or even a long run without winning a game.
if you can not fit it on the sheet please feel free to email them to me personally at carltokens@yahoo.co.uk .
i would also like photos of players or the whole team to use on the website http://www.freewebs.com/esndartsleague and to send to the papers and magazines. im intrested in an idea that was suggested to me about doing team profiles on the website which could consist of a team photo and a few facts about your team if your intrested in doing one for the site please email me and i will either post or email you a fun questionaire to fill out with your team and either email it back to me at carltokens@yahoo.co.uk or post it to me at carl tokens, 43 marchioness way, eaton socon, st neots, pe198dl.
lastly is there anything else you would like to see on the website that i may not of thought about such as something we had on another site which was called seperated at birth and showed a photo of a local player and then a photo of a somebody famous they look like (for example a photo of me and a photo of buster blood vessel ) or even any other fun idea for the site that would make your visit to the site a bit more fun than just looking at stats and league tables.
Week Three News
I would like to start of by appologising for the site taking a while to update and the lack of darts information in the local papers recently.
